During the annual jamboree spectators are welcome to assist on bundle racks... whether experienced or new to a pitch fork. 

Steam powered saw mill cuts logs donated from the surrounding area. Cut logs are sometimes available for purchase for wood working projects or used for buildings and repairs on Pioneer Acres. 

Another opportunity for strong and sturdy visitors is to try your luck on the steam plow. 

This quite 12-foot flywheel engine used to power an entire town in Iowa before being restored back into operation. Demonstrated alongside other steam powered generators.  

The bakers fan on Pioneer Acres is used to demonstrate steam power and offers an opportunity for steam engines to hook up and let off some steam. 

The power show annual event features multiple steam powered stationery and traction tractors and offers visitors chances to get close (but remember don't touch) to the steam operation.
